May this Never End: 5:15am crew....HELLO

May this Never End: 5:15am crew....HELLO

Who gets excited for Monday?! Especially the last Monday of the month before school starts?!! ME!!! I couldn't wait to get up this morning and workshop with my 5:15am Bodyshred crew. We had switched the regular time to 6am because of the summer. Summer hours did not work for everyone but 5:15am in our winner.

YES 5:15am

Some people think we are crazy, but we are not. Yes, it is a struggle all the time. Once we get to the Cal-Zone do Bodyshred or Tabata...our day has started, we are ready to go!!! Getting there is always half the battle but once there...

I do have respect for people that work out after a long day's work or in the evenings, to me that is a super hard thing to do. AM workouts put in a good frame of mind to start the day. Plus my crew always put a smile on my face.  Call me crazy but I am with a bunch of happy, healthy, strong, badass divas!!!

This morning... I woke up before my alarm. I couldn't wait to see all the ladies.

Besides seeing my crew..I know I was not alone. I was not the only one getting up at 4:30am to workout. I would not be the only one sweating and cursing. I would not be the only one in the struggle to get the workout in. I was not the only one who's abs were like " oh Hell no" LOL.

And a couple of us worked out together Sunday night for "Strong" by Zumba. That was an hour of some craziness. We made a pact to come on Monday at 5:15am because our crew would be there.

Sure enough we all showed up. What I love about the ladies is that we are all at different levels and abilities but we are in it together. We still laugh and joke through the pain.

Today's workout reminder of a piece of public art I saw on Sunday:

  • make the most, and hope
  • nothing's for keeps, expect that we must keep going
  • you'll spend your entire life searching

All from The Green Way Art and Matthew Hoffman's "May this Never End".. ..so fitting and so perfect

The 4-foot x 319-foot artwork, made of bright yellow high density polyethylene, reads: “Nothing’s for keeps. Except that we must keep going. You’ll spend your entire life searching, ok? We all want to belong. So let’s all get along. Make the most, and hope. May this never end.
