Post bomb cyclone

Post bomb cyclone

Monday's a.m. in the post bomb cyclone, post bombogensis was a balmy 22 degrees out. Coming from freezing and negative temperatures last week, this morning it felt like it could be 60 degrees.

The challenge of the a.m. was running on clear pavement. Normally I run in the street but since the streets were piled with snow mounds, my running pavement was narrow. Add cars driving in both directions on a narrow street makes running like going into combat. Even with my reflective vest and light on, I was invisible to many drivers. I almost got hit by two drivers who were in a hurry to get somewhere and they didn't see me.  Really?

My pace and stride felt good. In spite of being on period and feeling extra heavy, the " warm" temperature made it better.

5 miles completed. Hopefully I'll get 10 more miles in before I leave on Thursday for State #33
