Snow Walk

Snow Walk

If I could run I still wouldn’t today because of the snow on the ground. This is the first snow of the year for Boston, at least in my neighborhood. If I layered up, I could at least walk a little bit. I did walk before I ran. Somehow I forgot that. While I rest my knee and wait for the results of my MRI, I can walk. That is what I did today. I walked for 1.30 miles and it took me 35 minutes. I know that in 35 minutes I would have RAN 3miles but I walked today. I reminded myself that I will run 3 miles in 35 minutes again but right now that is not going to happen. :).

It was a brisk cold and hardly anyone was out. I just took my time to feel my knee and body. After walking I did feel a mild ache in my knee. Clearly I’m not where I want to be yet. I’m glad to get some movement in.

I know it’s not the same but I was thinking about women that have to be on bed rest for months or people that get into an accident or have to wear a cast. They have to stop their normal to heal, recover, get stronger and better. This is what I have to do. This needs to happen by mid February. I’m putting it out there in the universe. :)
