New Year, New Day, New Run., New Decade. This is it! This the start of the “ Last Chapter”, the final four, this is the year. Of course this is the year that I have to do PT and I have runner’s knee pain. I wanted to run today. For the last six years I’ve started the first of the month with a run. This run is also a baseline run. How will I feel after running a “ racing” 5k compared to my regular morning runs.

Because I know the route, I knew what to expect. Yeah me for going to treadmill workout. I kept at pace when the pavement shifted to an incline. I was able to pass many runners. I kept a good rhythm. Since it has snowed up in Lowell and I wanted to make sure I didn’t fall, I was cautious running on the pavement. .

I know I need to eat more, better. I need to fuel up. In other words I wasn’t running on a full tank. When I crossed the finish line the time read :31:45. I’m thinking my time is around 28/29 minutes. I’ll find out when the results come in.

This year, unlike last year’s first race, I ran with my sole sistas. There were 7 of us that ran this race in the sunny and windy 35 degree weather.

364 more days to go in 2020, let’s see what will happen. :)
