Friday the 13th ain't that scary

COVID-19, “ The Rona Era”

Seriously, it’s Friday the 13th, it’s dark and rainy out. Everyone is still in recovery from the drawn out election and I am fighting an illegal imposed furlough on my campus. I will still run today and not let a number stop me from running.

Today I tried a new running route. I ran on the Tri-Community Greenway. The greenway runs through the cities of Woburn, Winchester, Stoneham. There was no one on the greenway in the early a.m. There were lots of leaves covering the path and I did see one person on a bike. To my surprise, I ran through a graffiti tunnel. It was colorful, eye catching, and not scary. I will admit I did slow down a bit to take in this art.

I kept on running. I wasn’t sure how long the greenway went and the more I ran it, the curious I became. I knew I needed to run back to my car because today is going to be super busy. Interesting about the section I ran on, was the break in the greenway by streets and traffic.

As the rain was falling, I had to wait for traffic to stop before I crossed over a couple of streets to pick the greenway back up. When I did the shape and pathway looked very different.

At this point, I decided to turn around. 4.16 miles total. I can’t wait to go back and do some more running exploring.
