COVID-19, “The Rona Era”

It’s freakin July. I can’t believe it. The last week of June has been a shit show with the Supreme Court. A highlight yesterday, the last day of June was the first black woman Supreme Justice started her job and my friend Liz has an amazing deck gathering to watch fireworks. That was last month. Today, is Friday and the start of a new month.

It only made sense to me to run 7.1 miles to kick off July 1st. I ran around Castle Island and Carson Beach. At 6 a.m. it was in the high 60s and I was feeling the heat. My plan was to go slow and steady. I didn’t properly stretch nor eat well last night to have my body fueled up to run. I ran anyway.

7.20 miles 10:28 pace and was done in 1h 15mins. I can work on the time and improve my pace.

For now, I want to keep running until I have surgery and I won’t be able to run for 6 weeks.

Hello July.
