Spring like January 10k a.m. humpday run

COVID-19, “The Rona Era”

It’s 44 degrees out! So excited but so tired. Yesterday was the first day of campus and the start of the new Spring Semester. Girlfriend was tired yesterday. Then the Iowan came by last night to give me flowers to celebrate or welcome the first day back. The point off all of this. I was tired and didn’t get a lot of sleep.

So this morning, I was up but not as energized as I normally am. I made it out of the house at 6a.m. The lack of sleep and needing new shoes make running feel heavy. The back of my calve( left one) felt a bit tight. I kept on going. Cautiously so.

To work on some inclines, I passed Maverick Square and made my way towards Chelsea and Mary O’ Mallory park. At this time of day it was quiet. I hate that my headlight, which I found out later had stopped working. ugh. At least this morning I didn’t have to have heavy layers. That was a plus.

I kept my body moving up the includes. I feel that I could have gone a bit faster and stronger if I wasn’t feeling the calve annoyance( as I will call it).

I did 6.10 miles at a 11:15pace which took 1hr and 8 mins. Keep lesson. Lesson to my body and properly rest and fuel my body.

The good news. When I got done. I felt as if I could run one more mile.
