Beach Friday

Beach Friday

COVID-19, “ The Rona Era”

Finally a perfect 71 degree summer weather day. No rain, no temps in the high 80s and 90s. I had to get my ass up and run the beach. Revere Beach is a 10k beach run. It’s been a while since I ran a 10k, time to get back at it. I realize I need to start training for the BAA 1/2 marathon in November. I need to get those miles up.

This morning at 5:45a.m. when I got to the beach I assume it would be quiet. I was so wrong. The peoples were out. Couples, groups of friends, and some folks had blankets and looked like they overnight it. Everyone was ready to see the sunrise. There were plenty of walkers, runners, and exercise class folks on the beach too. All before 6 a.m. this spot was busy.

I had a 10k to run. My body felt good. I could feel the twig in my left leg. I need to make an acupuncture appointment. The weather was just right as I ran down the beach. Coming back, I had to take pictures and walk a bit on the beach. I need to work on my stamina and endurance. Tomorrow, I’ll try to run 7 miles.

It was a really good running beach morning.
