10k for October 1st day
Sunday, 49 degrees, 5:55am for a.m. run. No shorts for this am run. Long sleeves running shirt, Long leggings. I realize I should be wearing gloves. That will happen later on for the run.
This year is almost over. People have already spotted Christmas decorations in the stores. My goal is running in 3 more states, 3 more half marathons, in 3 more months to close out my 2017 running journey.
September I took the month off. Not really off. Last month was the start of my academic season, which I had to be in the right head space for with this being my second year as Department Chair and all of our faculty and student changes. Plus there were two weekends in September that I would be running races and pulling a plane. 1. 5k road to wellness with my BGR crew, had to be there....Love that race. Then it was a weekend that I pulled a plane with Team Cal-Zone to support the American Cancer Society. That same weekend, I ran with my BGR crew for a 5 mile race on Spectacle island- which I had never did before.
Start of School week, 5k Road to wellness, Plane Pull and Island Run. That is 3 weekends right there. There would be no running.
Now, it's the first of October and I'm running state 30 in 22 days. It only fitting that I start thinking about miles and distance. I ran 10 miles toend September(yesterday) and today I start the month with 6 miles.
