I'm going to hold myself accountable for am Monday run...post father's day weekend. I know how 5 pounds( didn't magically appear on my body). Since my dad was in town there was a lot of celebratory eating and drinking. The scale read 145.6 this morning.
In reality its 10 pounds more than I should be. Life happens and I own it. This morning after I dropped my dad off at the airport I ran a 5k. Slower than my normal, 29 minutes. I was out there and I got it done. What stuck me was the sculpture of the two girls supporting each other. We all need a hand and support sometimes. I thought about my Black Girl Run members and other women who are on a better health journey and sometimes there are setbacks, hiccups, and back-steps. Without the support from others I don't know how anyone can move forward
