Hill work, Hill work, and more Hill work
Clearly summer is letting us know he is here. Today is running clinic day with BGR and BAA. It's already in the high 70s so by the time we start at 9a..m. it's going to be in the 80s. I wanted to get a 5k run in before we trained. Too hot. I'm proud of my one mile completion at 7 a.m.
Today we did hill work. We ran 10 times up and down an " incline". Since I'm apart of the lead pack, we set the tone for the drills. Truth be told, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I learned you have to keep your body moving and the importance of leaning in when going up hills.
My #girlgang and coaches make it fun and encouraging. An extra bonus is the lessons I learned for running in Napa/Sonoma. I heard it's hilly and hot. We went up and down the " incline" 10 times and we all survived
