Friday is so lit

Friday is so lit

18 degrees out and it’s still fall. Winter won’t be here until Sunday but damn. The plan was to do a tabata 5:45 a.m at the Cal-Zone but it was cancelled. So what do you do? run of course. As I am still easing my way back. I wanted to test my knee on the pavement. Yesterday’s treadmill workout had me in throbbing pain so I wanted to see what the pavement will do. To my wonderful and complex surprise, I felt good. There was some throbbing around 3.50 mile marker but that was it. It wasn’t like yesterday. My goal was to run 4 miles I made it to 3.85 miles. Still a win.

At 5:45 a.m. there were some crazy runners running. I realized that I need new batteries in my headlight because it wasn’t working. Luckily, running through Boston Commons and the Public Gardens my path was well lit.

After the first mile, I warmed up. I enjoyed the quiet, lights, and snow of the Friday morning run. When I finished the 3.82 miles I did my PT hip exercises. Trying to be mindful, smart, steady, and patient.
