Today for Treadmill Thursday, there were only 3 of us in the room. Three women, I may add. The deerfield training went by super fast. We did three rounds of hills, then three rounds of strides, 3 rounds of hills, 4 rounds of strides.
Coach Amy was awesome. She’s qualified for Boston 3 times and she just got back from running the Berlin Marathon. I asked her about nutrition while running . For her, she carries 4 packs of gu. She takes one out at every 5th mile. It’s a mental and physical reward. I really liked and appreciate that.
Fuel for thought: I need to see what works for me, gu, gels, drink mix, something……….
Starting off running my legs hurt, then I was fine. I am aware that my left back leg,felt tight at times.
All the things. I’m currently debating if I should do a 4th long run this Saturday or if I should start to taper and let my body rest and heal……
