First day of Spring 2019

10k a.m. run for the first day of spring. The last leg of marathon training is a struggle. I didn’t want to get out of bed. I told myself, it’s the first day of spring and I have to get some miles in. I know my run mileage has decreased because I’m trying to listen to my body and make adjustments where they are needed. It’s spring and I’m up and running.

I was greeted by the gorgoeus moon. She was so full and bright. I didn’t need my headlight because the moon was all the light I needed. I noticed on this “ light run” my stomach on the left side cramped up a bit and then my left leg back quad felt tight. I’m wondering if it’s the food still. Or do I need to do more stretching or both? I’m a bit concerned with this.

The moon and the nice 38 degree weather was a great way to kick off Spring 2019.
