Not only is it hot, 91 degrees but I’m on my period, and I have a headache. Running in this weather plus being bloated and bloody is just not good. I have all my limbs and I can run. I made sure to extra hydrate because today is also the Road to Wellness 5k running clinic. Yesterday I barely left the house. Today I have be social and run social. My run started at 7 a.m this morning at 76 degrees. It wasn’t too bad.
I ran with and in nature for a good 2 mile run. I ran in Belle Isle Marsh Reservation. I thought it would be cool but then I saw the sign about the mosquitos and was too late, since I was already there. Since it was early, I was hoping it wouldn’t be so bad. I was wrong. My ass got bit and the sweat just kept coming and I kept running.

After that I went to Franklin Park for the Road to Wellness training. To my surprise, it was cool and there was a good breeze going. Of course by the time everyone came and we started at 9a.m. the coolness was gone.
This week we worked on progressions. Starting off slow and building up. I think I did it all wrong. I started off fast and got faster. I chalk that up to running with other people and not running by myself. To be honest, when I run by myself, I’m lazy. I’ll start off around a 10:30 and then go to a 9:50. Running with others, I started off around 9:40, which felt comfortable. Clearly I’m capable of doing it. I get in the way of myself..so noted
