Skeleton Interruption

COVID-19, “The Rona Era”

Last Monday of October 2020. Back to the start of the week grind. This morning was a bit of a struggle after a great wine with friends weekend. I know I need to finish the last week of the month strong. Of course I did not get up as early as I wanted and I’m not sure of what my Monday looks like, I just know there will be “a lot of it.”

I got myself to go to Deer Island. I know the ocean breeze would really wake me up.At 6:17 am when I started running on the island it was dark. 51 degrees out, dark, and super breezy. I’m glad I was wearing long sleeves and had my headlight.

All I could hear was the water clashing into the rocks and the movement of the wind turbine. The morning was quiet and there was no one around as circled the island. In the distance I could see the lights of the city reflect off the water.

After 2 miles in, I started to see more people(3) on their bikes. Most of the other people were going to work at the water plant.

It was nice to listen to music while running and really not think , process, or worry about anything.

3.41 miles 35:51, 10:30 min/mil
