Running for Georgia

Running for Georgia

COVID-19, “The Rona Era”

1st Track Tuesday workout of 2021!! For today’s workout, I ran 4.44 miles for the 4th state of the union, Georgia. Today is a big day which will decide who controls the US Senate, no pressure Georgia. Running today was my activism of using my body for a cause and to show my support.

This morning on the track , it was me and four men. No one had on a headlight or any reflective gear. I was the only one. When I started on the track, there was one man running around and another who rode his bike on the snowy track. - Totally weird.

Later, some guy wearing shorts, ran around the track( without a headlight of course), and they he brought his gym bag of weights on the field. He seemed to do his own workout routine. Then the final guy, didn’t run the track. He was on the football field with the soccer balls he. brought with him. He made his own soccer obstacle course. Yet, I was the one still running around the track with my headlight. Later around, 6:50 a.m., it started to get a bit light. Sunrise is usually around 7:13 a.m. When I ran back towards home, I did some more people out walking dogs, children.

When it was dark, I, the only woman had one a headlight. Might be nice to be privilege and not worry about such things.

Miles complete, Georgia is on my mind, and the day will now get started.
