Saturday Island Run

Saturday Island Run

COVID-19, ‘The Rona Era”

Thursday and especially Friday beat and wore me down from work. Friday was 9 hours of zoom meetings with a 45 minute break for the entire day. Friday night I just sat, drink wine, had ice cream and went to bed. I was so done. Today I needed and wanted to run. I had to recenter myself and get some good energy in my body. I slept a bit longer this morning and woke up at 6:30a.m- bonus. When I left the house, it was sunny, bright, and the sky was so blue. It was kind of like spring but not since this is winter. I decided to run on Deer Island. It has been a while since I’ve run over that way. When I first arrived, there were hardly any cars in the parking lot. The 36 degree weather wasn’t so bad. I just chucked along around the island running. I took in the sunshine and the sounds of the ocean as I kept on running. I ran into three people who were walking with their dogs. One man, saw my shadow behind him and he moved out of the way to make room for me to pass him.

Today was a good running morning. 3.47 miles , 10:21 min/mile at 35:56
