5 miles of a.m. sun

5 miles of a.m. sun

COVID-19, ‘The Rona Era”

Wednesday, the “10k a.m. humpday” did not happen. I needed a rest day. Today was going to be the make- up 10k a.m. run. Alas, that didn’t happen. It was a 5.15 miler for 4.15 instead. What I realized this morning is that I am bad at nutrition . I didn’t have enough full and I had low energy. This was a wake up call for eating better and doing strength training. I ran along the beaches today for 5 miles. Revere Beach, Short Beach, and Winthrop Beach. It was simply gorgeous to see the sun rise over the water. That alone gave me an extra boost of energy. April weather is funny in Massachusetts because I over dressed and was hot and felt weighed down. My mile pace ranged for 10:03, 10:01, 10:09. I’m not knocking that.

I want to build up to running a 9:30 min/mil and that will take some time, practice, patience, training, and perseverance. Overall it was a lovely run. The beach run was a different change in scenery and I saw other folks walking, and running all before 7 a.m.
