5k before Day two of Radiation

5k before Day two of Radiation

COVID-19, “The Rona Era”

Thursday a.m. running . Still in recovery, still walking/running. Last night I took the doctor’s advice and took an Aleve. The groin annoyance has lessen. I’m wondering if I need a massage, re-alignment because my body has been out of wack from all the surgeries and healing. I think a Pelvic PT is not necessary, maybe just regular PT.

This morning, it felt like summer. 78 degrees, clear blue sky, and hot. I decided to run on the beach because it’s relaxing and calming for me. Plus I wanted to celebrate day one of radiation with a beach run. Today is day two.

I started to run a bit and it wasn’t as annoying as before. I took it easy. Then I would transition to walking. This time it felt a lot different than last weekends back to back running a 5k and then 4 miles. The run/walking will be my thing for the next couple of weeks to slowly build up to full running again.. Hoping I can get PT or a massage to workout the rest of this issue.

The beach this morning was quiet and nice. Lots of walking out. It didn’t take long for me to start sweating. That is how hot it was. At least my body has not been use to that for the last couple of days because of the rain.

3.09 miles, 0:39:14 12:42min/ml pace. That was better than yesterday. Making
