5 miles to Charlestown and Christmas

5 miles to Charlestown and Christmas

COVID- 19, “The Rona Era”

Yet another Monday and I need to up my miles to do 5 miles. It is a bit snowy and slushy outside but Big Sur Marathon doesn’t care. I was careful and cautious because there was snow on the pavement. I told myself slow and steady. Just keep working on your baseline build-up.

Layered and headlight, I made my way to Charlestown and the Bunker Hill Monument. I drop to Assembly Row in Somerville. Last night I drove to Assembly Row, I made my way towards Everett. Running along the Mystic River Reservation I have choices to run to the cities of Everett, Somerville, Medford, and Charlestown. Charlestown was the winner today.

While running, I had to be careful because of all the traffic, cars, and bike riders along the path. This morning, all the schools buses were dropping off students at Charlestown High School. Super Busy morning.

Keeping being slow and steady, I made my way up the mini incline to Bunker Hill. Around the corner at the the local square was an explosion of holiday blow of things.

I ran around the square and then ran around Bunker Hill before making my way back to Assembly Row.
