Muggy Miles Monday

Muggy Miles Monday

COVID-19, “The Rona Era”

Sunday was a rest day. I gave myself a break after Saturday’s Road to Wellness 5k race. My first race post surgery. I had so much fun and I thought I did pretty good after a six week non running break. I know I need to do a lot of hill and strength training. That’s an aside.

Because fall is around the corner (Sept. 22). Headlight season has started. I had my gear on before I left the house. It was muggy. Summer hasn’t gone away yet.

While running, I came across a cafe that is next to the Maverick Blue Line T stop. This cafe was new to me. I saw the manager putting out tables at 6 a.m. I asked her how long she’s been open. She told me 7 months. I had no idea. This is in such a prime location. And I’m always looking for a local coffee shop to work at.

I would have never know this place was there if I wasn’t running.

So I continued my run. I passed by a young white lady running who didn’t have on any reflective gear. I’m wondering if she is aware of what happened to Emily Flecther. It was still dark when we were running. I hope she has some kind of protection on her.

Later in my morning run, I saw more women running but it was lighter. I don’t know what time they went running. Just saying.

I continued with my run. My stride and pace felt good. Thou, I stopped a couple of times but I kept on going.
