Last Outdoor Track Workout of 2023

Last Outdoor Track Workout of 2023

COVID-19, “The Rona Era”

Today is the last track workout on the MIT track. After finishing my 50th state in June, I continued running on track Tuesday. One of hour of community ,running, and moving. In late summer I was asked to be a pacer for the Red team. Who me? A pacer? It’s a volunteer gig, no money. We have to show up at 6:00a.m. on Tuesday. This is completely out of my comfort zone. But why not. I would be the third person on the team red pacer team. Why not. I’ve been running with team red for over two years.

The last 5-6 times, I’ve been a pacer. I had to keep on pace to help the runners in my group. To be honest, I’m still learning how to pace. I’m responsible for other people…no pressure.

Today was an easy day. 8x200s at 5k pace. I now what that means now! :).

MB and I traded off leads for the Red team. It was fun and fast. Afterwards there were dunkins and coffee. I’m really looking forward to indoor track in January and continuing to sharper my pacer skills.

Today was a good running day.
