COVID-19, “The Rona Era”

The struggle is real. I wanted to run a 10k this morning but that didn’t happen. Sleep won. Not sure if that is a bad thing. Yesterday I was up early for strength training class. Today I wanted to sleep in a bit. The Iowan informed me this morning that 6 a.m. is like 11pm/midnight in Hawaii. I informed him that we were not in Hawaii yet, and this was the time I was waking up.

Besides, I didn’t have the proper running gear. I needed something to hold my phone and keys. My colder running gear has pockets. I didn’t have on any pockets for what I was wearing. I did my best to make it work.

The pond was busy this morning. Lots of fishermen, birdwatchers, walkers, runners, construction folks, police. Plenty of activity on a beautiful spring morning.

I got my miles in. Around 7a.m. It was time for my weekly morning chat with Beverly. The goal this weekend is to put in some longer miles. We’ll see what happens.
