FriYaY Urban Art Running

COVID-19, “The Rona Era”

This Summer Weather is crazy. It’s been rainy, muggy, thunderstorms, hot, muggy, more rain, etc. It rained this morning, stopped, then it’s going to rain again this evening until Saturday. I woke up this morning to rain and dark clouds at 4:45a.m. By 6 a.m. it stopped. My plan was to run a 10k or 8 miles. As we know 6a.m. is late for me. I knew I had to run at least a couple of miles today while it was some-what cool.

I kept the run in the neighborhood along the waterfront because it was easy and it has been a while since I ran this route.

The air still smelled fresh from the recent rain. I love that smell. I ran through the shipyard and toured the fucky art along the walk way. Then I made my way through Pier’s Park. Going through the park I ran over by the water taxi. That’s where I saw a new restaurant, cows, and people waiting to take the water taxi. This was a new scene for me. I took it all in for a moment. I finished running along the waterfront before I made my way back home. I felt good and strong. It wasn’t so hot that I needed water. Perhaps I hydrated and fueled my body well. Not sure which one it is yet.

It was a good 4 mile Friday morning. I didn’t get the miles I expected but I got in miles that I needed.
