Fat Tuesday = Track Tuesday

Last track Tuesday of February and it’s Fat Tuesday, a.k.a, the day before Lent. I’ve been good at icing my knee for 15 minutes in the morning and 15 minutes in the evening. Plus I’ve been doing quad and other strength exercises twice a day. Today I felt good. Today I felt it was going to be a good track day. We did 400s at 10k pace, 5k pace, and 1 mile pace. With either 60 seconds or 90 minute break in between. The pace was around a 9:40 and the mile pace was 8:20. I was able to keep pace. My knee felt strong and there was no annoying pain.

The Bonus of the day was seeing four of my BGR sole sistas running this morning as well. I can honestly say, I love the Tuesday Track crew and Team Red. Everybody motivates each other and it’s a fun atmosphere. At some point there was a dance break. This was my Mardi gras party…. Sweat, track running, laughter, dancing, and water. :)
