New Longest Run of 2020

New Longest Run of 2020

Era of COVID-19

All church services have been canceled until further notice. With that news there was no need to get up super early to run and then get ready for church. I wanted to run beyond a 10k, I think I can do it. I feel that I can do it. I had to run a route that I knew would be 7 or 8 miles. I could get that mileage if I run on Revere Beach.

On a beautiful winter 44 degree Sunday I set out to run 7 miles. I ran 7.07 miles. And ti was ok. With the knee, I have to stop for 30 seconds a couple of times but then I can keep on running. Good stride, better pacing, and salt crystallized on my face. Everyone I passed spoke to say hi. The walkers, runners, dog walkers.

The beach was lightly quiet. I feel that by the end of the month I can run 10 miles.

Feeling good. I just hope that none of my races will be canceled and I run 13.1 miles. We’ll see.
