Oh now it snows

Oh now it snows

COVID-19 Era of running

I usually turn on the TV to get the weather as I get ready to head out. I won’t turn on the TV, I won’t watch the news. I just googled the weather and it said 37 degrees with snow. SNOW? I packed my gloves and drove to Castle Island for a scenic run. When I got there I realized that I didn’t pack my headphones but I had my headlight because it was dark and there was a light snow drizzle. The gloves I thought I packed, I know I left them on the counter in the kitchen. No luck of the Irish here.

I was here and I was going to run. I ran without gloves and turned on my Pandora radio. Who ever walked by me could listen to music too.

I did see a couple of runners( all women out) , a man walking his dog and a couple of ladies walking their dogs together and talking. People were out. It was peaceful to run around the island and smelling the salt of the ocean. My endurance and stamina is getting better, stronger. I could run six miles. I know I need to be smart and steady. I’m saving myself for the 10k a.m humpday an the first day of spring.

4.30 miles was a good run in the cold and the snow for a Tuesdays a.m. winter running
