Sunday Sunglasses and Gloves

Sunday Sunglasses and Gloves

COVID-19, “The Rona Era”

Seriously, when is spring coming? I know it’s coming soon but the teasing of mother nature is not ok. It’s a super sunny and clear Sunday a.m. morning. Oh wait, it’s 21 degrees out and I can feel the chill in my bones. Sunglasses and gloves are needed this morning. Today’s 5k a.m. walk was around Horn pond. The pond is still frozen but seeing some water flowing in the lake gives me hope that spring is coming.

Last week was just rough, especially Friday with nonstop meetings from 8 a.m. until 8pm. On Friday I received a call from my doctor about scheduling a re- incision because there was more cancer that was close to the margins in my breast. In otherwords, pathology showed the doctors did not get it all. That will be the adventure for this week.

Saturday, I was just tired and didn’t have any energy to walk. I just wanted to sleep, rest, and stay still. That is what I did. In this pandemic, I’m always reminding myself and others to be kind to yourself. Saturday was a great movie, chill, sleep, and eat day.

Today, I have energy. Today, I needed to move my body. Despite the 21 degrees, I had a great walk around the pond. By 7:30a.m. a good number of people were walking, running, walking with dogs, walking with their friends around the pond. I needed the vitamin D, fresh air, and movement. I won’t lie, I did want to join the runners and run with them but I know better. Just walking and being out was an uplight to my soul and my energy.
