10k a.m beach run

COVID-19, “ The Rona Era”

Summer came to visit today. It’s 67 degrees before 6:30 a.m. I’m hot. This is my first run back in Boston after being in Cincinnati. I wanted to run a 10k a.m. humpday run on the beach. Today I feel a bit bloated after being back home drinking, eating, and giving and getting rubs, hugs, kisses, and socializing with family and friends this past weekend. No apologizes and I owned everything that I did. Seeing my best friends and dad whom I haven’t seen in over 20 months was a celebration.

Plus, I flew on my first plane since October 2019. Many things happened on my weekended adventure. My first full morning bake, I had to run. A beach run was calling my name for a 10k a.m. run. Today I was starting to get back on my schedule.

At 5:45 a..m. it was bright, warm, and busy. There were many people out this morning because of the warmth in the air. I started running the best I could. My run, my pace. I stayed focus to run along side the beach. To my surprise I didn’t feel tired or any aches.

6.05 miles, 1:01:18; 10:08 min/mile. This was one of my fastest 10k runs this year.

10:38; 10:16; 9:56; 10:07;9:50, 9:56 were my min/mls. I had 3 miles of being under 10:00min/ml. I can only image what my min/miles will be like with strength training and less weight on me. I’ll get there.

The started back in Boston with a strong 10k post a wonderful, vaccinated family reunion weekend.
