Last run before Surgery

Last run before Surgery

COVID-19, “the Rona Era”

Today is my last day to run. Tomorrow I go into surgery. I know recovery will be long but as of now, I’m not sure how long it will be. I want to enjoy putting miles on the pavement. I have been done this road before, so it’s not new.

Six months ago I was diagnosed with stage zero breast cancer. That was a shock to my system. The process for the best treatment options, researching, meeting with my breast team, etc… has been long. Finding out about Tyrone( cancer) over the holidays( Christmas and new years) also delayed part of the process. In hind sight I needed the time to organize, process, and plan.

The hard part is over, Tyrone is out. Now we clean house and make sure he doesn’t come back. Tomorrow I’ll have breast reconstruction. After I heal then radiation. All this to preserve the black titties. :)

Of course this morning on my last run it’s muggy out. I survived it all.

5.12 miles; 56:27; 11:02min/ml.

Side note: I think I might have groin pain. It doesn’t make sense to me. This is something that I will take note of .
