ERA of WTF…………………..

Track Tuesday! Today we are doing 7x400s. My track math tells me that is one time around the track. We have a minute break after each 400 at mile pace. Which for team Red is 2:07min. After the 5th -400, we have a 2min break between each 400.

I got the assignment. I made sure to pop the aleve just in case. Strength training has helped but I probably need to do more running. The morning started off cool but you know it was going to get muggy.

We had a nice surprise today with new Pacer shirts. They are white with a very nice cut. I saw the $80 price tag that was still on the box of shirts. The free gear is the runners compensation. Plus the 40% discount we get at the store. So yeah.

This week I was ready to make sure I was a good Pacer and kept pace. I kept close to pace- 2:07, 2:11, 2:14,2:10,2:06, 2:13, 2:18 were my pace times. Clearly, the last one, this girl was tired.

While running one of the ladies asked me if I was going to Sydney. My response: Hell no, I don’t that. Not that I don’t run marathons but I’m not trying to get an Abbott star. That does not interest or excite me. Some of the ladies talked about how they are burned out on running. It’s not running per say but it’s training for races. No one was talking about running for the fun of running. Or just running to be in better health. We don’t always have to be “ in training”. Side note to myself

Anywhho, I know I can do a mile-ish pace. I know I could not hold it for 5 or 10 miles. I need to build my stamina. It was a good Track Tuesday.
