Sunday 4 miler Beach Walk

Sunday 4 miler Beach Walk

COVID-19, “ The Rona Era”

Today marks the 7th day of walking post reconstructive surgery. I think the swelling is slowly starting to go down a bit. It’s been a week and the healing continues. This morning I wanted to walk on the beach. It’s going to be in the 90s later on today. I know I’m not going to be outside later today. At 6 a.m., when I drove to the beach it was already 75 degrees out.

This was always the perfect to take advantage of a quiet beach because I’m sure later today this beach is going to be packed. I had sunglasses, hat, and no sunscreen. I made note to get it after my walk. One thing I didn’t have on this run, my mask.

I put on my music and kept walking on the beach. I wasn’t alone for beach walkers. Thou, I love the older men walking without shirts on. Besides them, there were some young adults that ran into the water and ran out. They were having such a good time. I did see a couple of runners on the beach but it was mostly walkers. My goal this Sunday morning was 4 miles.

4.08 miles in 1:19:28; 19:28min/mil. I know I could have had a faster stride. What’s my hurry. I needed to enjoy the stalkers, water, and the left over shells. There was an abundance of them on the beach.

While walking , a felt my self diagnosed groin pain. It was hard to location. It was on the right side, then left side. It was a mild, annoyance but it was still there. Ugh.

I kept on going. …..
