COVID-19, “The Rona Era”

It’s still hot and it’s Friday. I’m not sure what happened to the week. Thursday was a rest day after Wednesday’s 8miler and then going to pelvic PT. Rest and stretching is what I needed. Today I wanted to go easy a bit and run on the beach. It’s another 76 degree a.m. morning before 7a.m.

When I arrived at Revere Beach I was able to see the sunrise over the water. Pictures don’t do the awe and beauty of sun rising over the water justice. She’s run and mighty as she slowly ascends above the water. I watched this while I stretched and got ready to run. I didn’t start running until 6:15a.m.

Not sure because it was Friday, hot, or the last hooray before school but the beach was super busy. There was a party on the beach. I saw groups of people playing volleyball and hanging some organzied activitey on the beach. I wasn’t sure if it was a school or camp. These kids looked like tweens. Then there was the workout class doing their exercise drills on the pavement and on the sand.

Because it is going to be hot, people had already claimed their spots on the beach. Again, this was all before 7 a.m.

I kept on running. I knew I could do a 10k this morning but I wasn’t in the mood. Part of it was starting late, that was in my own head. It shouldn’t matter, 6:15, 6 a.m. or 5:45a.m. I was out here running but not staring earlier shifted my mood. Plus it was starting to get hot. I tried to go slower and shift my running gears. I got a bit tired. Note to self: work on nutrition. I ran 4 miles then walk/ran for 1.25.

Besides the heat, it was good to see a lot of activity on the beach in the morning. I wasn’t the only one taking pictures and selfies on the beach either. :)
