COVID-19, “The Rona Era”

It’s about 25 degrees out and we are going to have negative temperatures come Saturday. Then, the temperature will go back to the 30s and 40s. It’s still winter. I realized that by the end of the week I should have 40 miles checked out. That means more weekly mileages.

Today my plan was 8 miles. I ran 7 and walked 1 mile. At 5:45a.m. I was out the door. I decided to run from my house to the beach and back. My body and legs felt great but I got tired. That told me that I was not fueling, hydrating, and probably eating the right nutrition. Someone once told me, “ it doesn’t make sense to have a BMW and you don’t have gas for it. Where are you going to go?”. I could feel it.

So true! Today I ran further than yesterday, 6 miles. As of know I’ve run 20 or 21 miles this week. That tells me that Friday needs to be a 10 miler.

This morning run was good. Very urban and very busy. As it got later, the more traffic and people were on the streets. I still had to navigate all of that.
