Running in the hood

Running in the hood

WTF……………………..resistance and joy

It’s Thursday, and it’s been a long, hot minute since I’ve run in my neighborhood. It wasn’t as cold as it has been—temps were in the 40s, whoot whoot! When I walked out the door, I was greeted by a gorgeous painted sky. My goal was to follow it.

My 5K felt good. I had to mix in some walking because a few areas weren’t very safe to run—snow, ice, and some slippery spots. I need to keep my head up and watch my footing. Still, it was so good to be back running in my neighborhood. It’s been a little crazy lately, and my regular running routes haven’t been the same with winter and the start of the semester. But I’ll get back there.
