Fall Track Tuesday
ERA of WTF……………….Joy and resistance
It's dark. Like dark, dark in the morning. Officially, today is the first day of fall — but with the equinox, it doesn't actually start until 5pm tonight. So this is really the last morning of summer before fall hits later today. It's not wasting any time, though: it's in the 50s and people are layered up. The track lights are on, and ROTC is out there too, so everyone can see to get their workouts in.
At least today's workout is fun: 200s. Lots of them. 6 sets of 4. The goal was 36 total 200s. Team Red made it to 30 — not bad. I'm thankful for Jill, the newest pacer for the red team; we were able to rotate each set. We hit 10K pace, 5K pace, 5K pace, then mile pace, with a 45-second break between each 200 and a 90-second break after each set. We kept the flow going.
I was tired and still recovering from Sunday's half marathon, but I made it work. Rest is needed.
