Foggy Pond

Foggy Pond

COVID-19, “ The Rona Era”

It’s a Foggy Friday morning. Not sure if it feels like fall or spring this morning. All I know is that I don’t need to be layered up this morning and there isn’t a chilly wind blowing in my face. I tried to get up early to catch the morning light while running. But it was still foggy and I wouldn’t be able to see the sun.

Today, I ran around Horn Pond. As I drove to the pond, it was a beautiful eerie view with the pond, fog, and the trees. It was quiet until I heard the honking sounds of the geese. They are so loud. That killed the morning quiet around the pond. After I parked and was getting ready to run( 5:55am), I saw the honkers and their little chicks. I didn’t realize this morning would be a stalker family affair.

After breathing and taking in the scenery, I started my run around the pond. My plan was to run a 10k. That meant I would have to run around the pond 3 times. I really hate running loops. It’s been a while since I ran around the pond, I was all in for three loops.

It took a while for my body to get warmed up and into a groove. The beauty of the nature keep me motivated to see what the scenery would be around the next turn. I did see some fishermen out and one woman with a badass camera with a long lens. There was a calm and beauty while running.

I also so my stalkers with their stalker children at different points around the pond. They were out in full force. The parent stalkers were extremely protective of their little ones. Which is good because I know they would leave me alone.

After the first two mile loop, I felt my stride. The next loop I ran stronger and I didn’t stop as much to take pictures. When I looked at the time it was close to 7 a.m. I needed to get my work day started.

All it all it was a good way to start off Friday morning. My goal for Saturday is a 10k a more.
